Here's a continuation from the previous clip (in honor of Dominique Wilkins). Here's some action for the 4th quarter of the classic game 7 between the Boston Celtics and the Atlanta Hawks. One of the best quarters of action in NBA playoff history, and perhaps in all of NBA history. As with other profiles of older players, there weren't any good Bob Pettit clips. So, I'll instead feature his old team, the Hawks, in a classic game 7. This game seven came from the 1988 Eastern Conference semifinals between the Atlanta Hawks and the Boston Celtics. Dominique Wilkins of the Hawks dueled brilliantly with Celtic legend Larry Bird, scoring 47 points. But Bird's points were more timely; he scored 20 of his 34 points in the fourth as Boston won 118-116 in one of the best seventh games in NBA history. This clip comes from the late 3rd/early 4th quarter, when the action starts to heat up. |
