In honor of Clyde Drexler, here is the CBS intro to game 6 of the 1990 Western Conference Finals between the Portland Trail Blazers and the Phoenix Suns. The Blazers came back to win the game 112-109 and claim their first Western Conference crown since 1977. It features a vintage dunk from Drexler in the beginning! Enjoy!

As promised, here is part two of the Zone's Chuck Daly tribute. Here is the postgame celebration for the 1990 Detroit Pistons after they beat the Portland Trail Blazers 92-90 to win their second straight title. The victory was the end of an era for the NBA on CBS, which broadcast its last Finals in this year. Enjoy the champagne!

Here is the first of a two-part Chuck Daly tribute post (the other will be up tomorrow). Here are the final 3:49 of game 5 of the 1990 NBA Finals between Daly's Detroit Pistons and the Portland Trail Blazers. During this clip, you'll see how they won this game in dramatic fashion; Vinnie Johnson hits a jumper with 0.7 seconds left to give the Pistons their second straight NBA title with a 92-90 win. The celebration clip will come next!

More clips for today! Here is the intro to game 4 of the 1990 NBA Finals between the Detroit Pistons and the Portland Trail Blazers (since I gave the Lakers a solo clip, Detroit should get one, too, for fairness). The Pistons, who hadn't won in Portland since 1974, won their second straight game there 112-109 to take a 3-1 lead. Detroit eventually won game five in Portland as well to claim their second straight title.

Here are the pregame intros and the start of game 1 of the 1990 NBA Finals between the Detroit Pistons and the Portland Trail Blazers. In addition to the "Final Countdown" intro that the Pistons still do to this day, also check out Ken Calvert (the PA guy that I prefer to Mason's over-the-top theatrics) as well as a very young Mariah Carey, who sings "America the Beautiful" after the teams are introduced. The Pistons won this game 105-99 with Isiah Thomas having a great 4th quarter, en route to a five game series win.
