I'll post this clip autonomously to give a clue for the profilee later today. Hint: he plays in this game, which is CBS' intro for game 2 of the 1989 NBA Finals between the Detroit Pistons and the Los Angeles Lakers. Note that Pat O'Brien fills in for Brent Musburger for this game (Brent was at the College World Series at the time). The Pistons won this game 108-105 en route to a series sweep. This is also another of my videos on Youtube, btu rest assured; this won't become just my vids!

Today's autonomous pick is the CBS intro to game 1 of the 1989 NBA Finals between the Detroit Pistons and the Los Angeles Lakers. The Pistons won the game 109-97 en route to a four-game series sweep. I love the guy who posted this. You know why? Because it's me! Yes, that's right; expect me to post some more of my videos to this site as I upload them. Enjoy!

Here's is part two of the Michael Jordan tribute clip. It is the post-game to "The Shot" as Jordan and the Bulls celebrate their upset of Cleveland and prepare to face the New York Knicks. This includes a great interview by James Brown with Jordan, so I felt it should be included in the tribute.

In tribute to Michael Jordan (and to the dismay of Cleveland fans), we will post two clips from the same game. The first clip is the final :19 of game five of the 1989 first round between Jordan's Bulls and the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Bulls take a 99-98 lead when Jordan scores, then give it right back on a Craig Ehlo layup. Then, with three seconds left, Jordan hits "The Shot" over Ehlo to leave the Richfield Coliseum in stunned silence as the Bulls move on with a 101-100 victory. More to come!

In tribute to the 1989 NBA Finals, here are the final two minutes and change from game four of that series between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Detroit Pistons. The Pistons won the game 105-97 to sweep the Lakers and win their first NBA title. The clip is emotional in that Kareem Abdul-Jabbar gets a standing ovation from the fans, his teammates, and even the Pistons for his twenty years of work. Classy move by all, and a great way for both teams to finish this series.

In honor of today's Player Profile, here is most of the 3rd quarter of game 3 of the 1989 NBA Finals between the Detroit Pistons and the Los Angeles Lakers. Here, our cover boy, Joe Dumars, has an extraordinary period as the Pistons cut into the Lakers' lead. Detroit eventually takes this game 114-110 on a Dumars block of David Rivers' three, taking a 3-0 series lead and evetnually sweeping the Lakers in four straight games for their first NBA title.
